OUR HISTORY
Meigal was founded in 1988 in Leiria with a simple, well-defined purpose: to be a leading distributor of quality food products for the professional sector. In the early years, the business focused solely on the trade of meat and meat products, supplying meat shops and small local outlets. With a clear vision for growth and development, Meigal invested in expanding its logistics operations and sales force, and enriched its portfolio by introducing new solutions to the market, progressively integrating new product ranges and categories that met the needs of its clients. It was in this context that, over more than three decades, Meigal established itself in the domestic and international markets, investing in strategically located distribution centres to ensure fast and flexible deliveries, with a response time of less than 24 hours. This logistics structure has enabled the company to serve a wide range of clients, including sectors such as retail, catering, hospitality, institutions and industry.
